Why Does a Central Vacuum Start by Itself?
A central vacuum cleaner system that starts to run on its own has a problem with its control system. An intermittent short in the low-voltage control wiring is rare, but it can happen. More common is a bad solid state controller board, which is used in most modern, state of the art, central vacuum cleaner systems.
